Welcome to the website of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to the African Union.

The African Union (AU) is the most representative and authoritative intergovernmental international organization in Africa. Its predecessor was the Organization of African Unity, which was established in 1963. Its headquarters locates in Addis Ababa. The AU is an important platform for African countries to seek self-improvement through unity and strengthen solidarity and cooperation, an important standard-bearer to promote and lead African peace, development and stability, and also an important partner to achieve China-Africa development and safeguard the common interests of developing countries.

China and the African Union have always maintained friendly exchanges and sound cooperation. In recent years, the relationship between China and the AU has developed in an all-round and in-depth manner. The political mutual trust between the two sides has been continuously deepened, the practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results, and our relationship has been continuously elevated to new levels. After the outbreak of COVID-19, China and the AU have shared weal and woe and overcome difficulties together, which has injected strong confidence and positive energy into China-Africa and global multilateral cooperation. China-AU exchanges have become a model of mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation in the international community.

It is my great honor to serve as the third Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to the African Union on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the AU. I am willing to work with the AU side to further promote cooperation in various fields, continuously improve the well-being of the Chinese and African people, and forge a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.
