On October 20th, Ambassador Hu Changchun, Head of Mission of China to the African Union and Representative of China to the UNECA，published an article titled China's perennial rice technology helps Africa's food security and agricultural modernization in Ethiopian Capital Newspaper.

In the article, Amb. HU elaborates the Partnership Action for Agriculture and Livelihoods proposed by President Xi Jinping at the FOCAC Beijing Summit. He emphasized that perennial rice technology was developed by Chinese agricultural science experts independently and has been included in the African Union's key technology project plan for promotion throughout Africa. 

The Chinese Mission to the African Union and the African Union Commission recently jointly held the China-Africa International Symposium on Perennial Rice, which fully demonstrated the importance that China and Africa Union attaches to the cooperation in food security and agricultural modernization. China is willing to work with all parties to continuously explore new paths for cooperation with Africa to deepen agricultural cooperation to support Africa's food security, sustainable agricultural development and poverty reduction, and join hands with Africa to advance modernization and build an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
