In order to enhance China-Africa friendship, the young diplomats from the Mission of to AU will teach Chinese language in Zoma School in Addis Ababa on regular basis. On November 22, team from the Mission of China to AU visited Zoma school and jointly held an opening ceremony of the Chinese language program. Mme. Guo Jun, spouse of Head of the Mission of China to AU and Mrs. Meskerem Assegued, founder of Zoma School delivered speeches, leadership of the China Mission, representatives of young diplomats, teachers, students and parents attended the ceremony.
Mme. Guo Jun pointed out in her speech that the world we live in is becoming increasingly interconnected, and language is the key to understand different nations and cultures. Learning Chinese could provide opportunities for everyone to get closer to China, feel China, and understand China. She hopes that everyone could learn Chinese well and become messengers of China-Africa friendship.
Mrs. Meskerem Assegued said that as China's influence continues to grow in the international community, learning Chinese language and culture has become a new trend. She is very happy that Zoma School becomes the first school in Addis to offer Chinese courses. Thanks are given to the Mission of China to AU for its strong support in helping school students expand their international horizons.
