On August 29, Ambassador Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose Quatre, Chief Executive Officer of African Peer Review Mechanism(APRM), and exchanged views on deepening cooperation.

Ambassador Jiang said that China appreciates the important role APRM has played. The principles of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith, which were proposed by President Xi Jinping as the guidelines for China’s policy toward Africa, have provided a clear direction for advancing China-Africa relations. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with APRM within the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, promote the exchange of governance experience with African countries, and further enhance mutual trust with Africa.

Ambassador Quatre welcomed Ambassador Jiang’s assumption of his new post. She stated that China is a trustworthy and good partner of Africa. Amidst the international situation facing multiple uncertainties, APRM looks forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China to boost common development and prosperity.
