Amb. Jiang Feng Meets with the Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso to the African Union

On March 31, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with Amb. Ouedraogo, the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso to the African Union.

Amb. Jiang welcomed Amb. Ouedraogo on his new appointment and stated that China-Burkina Faso relations have developed rapidly in recent years. In 2024, the two countries established a strategic partnership, deepening political mutual trust and achieving fruitful cooperation. This year marks the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges. China is ready to work with Burkina Faso to consolidate mutual trust and friendship, further deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and bring benefits to the peoples of both countries and the wider China-Africa population.

Amb. Ouedraogo spoke highly of the relations between the two countries and China-Africa relations, and applauded China’s support for the economic and social development of Africa, including Burkina Faso. Amb. Ouedraogo reaffirmed Burkina Faso’s firm commitment to the One-China principle. Amid the  volatile and turbulent international landscape, the Burkina Faso side is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with the Chinese Mission, deepen friendly cooperation, and jointly safeguard the common interests of the Global South.
