African Media Comment on the White Paper More Just and Equitable Global Governance: China's Principles, Proposals and Actions
On June 24, Ethiopian media outlets Horn Economic Review and Capital published articles China’s new governance pitch aims at the world’s next frontiers and Why Ethiopia Should Study China’s New White Paper, commenting on the white paper More Just and Equitable Global Governance: China's Principles, Proposals and Actions which was recently released by the State Council Information Office of China.

The articles noted that international governance has reached a “critical crossroads”. Existing frameworks are struggling to keep pace with crises, power shifts and new technologies. As a vehicle for promoting the Global Governance Initiative, the white paper serves not only as a diagnosis of current challenges but also as a declaration of intent. It offers a clear and feasible roadmap for a more peaceful and stable world, while further reinforcing China’s role as the leading voice of the Global South.
The articles further argued that African countries should welcome the Global Governance Initiative and align more closely with the vision proposed by China, thereby strengthening their voice and influence in multilateral international institutions and in the shaping of global norms.
