On July 27, Ambassador Jiang Feng, Head of China Mission to the African Union, attended the AUDA-NEPAD 25th Anniversary Ambassadorial Dinner and made a speech. Diplomatic envoys from the EU, France, Spain and other countries, as well as representatives from GIZ, JICA and other organizations, attended the event.

Ambassador Jiang specifically introduced China’s zero-tariff treatment for all African countries that have diplomatic ties with China and expressed appreciation for the significant role played by AUDA-NEPAD. He stated that China is willing to deepen cooperation with Africa in areas such as minerals, infrastructure, artificial intelligence and capacity building, and jointly build an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.

Ms.Nardos Bekele-Thomas, CEO of AUDA-NEPAD, presented an overview of the agency's responsibilities, achievements, and key projects. She called for greater support from external partners and specifically commended China for its zero-tariff policy in facilitating African development.
