Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Zhang Wei Meets with the Delegation of the Adwa Victory Memorial of Ethiopia
On September 14, Mr. Zhang Wei, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with Mr. Yosef Beco Dubi, Director-General of the Adwa Victory Memorial, and his delegation who had just concluded their visit to China.

Mr. Zhang congratulated the Memorial on its successful visit to China, which took place during the Year of China-Africa People-to-People Exchanges as well as on the first anniversary of the co-hosted event marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The delegation’s in-depth exchanges with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and six museums help consolidate China-Africa friendship and advance mutual learning between civilizations. The Mission stands ready to continue serving as a bridge for China-Africa exchanges and cooperation in culture and other fields.
Director-General Dubi thanked the Mission and relevant parties for their efforts to make this visit possible. He said the visit was impressive and rewarding for the delegation. The group witnessed and experienced China’s long history and profound civilization, as well as the remarkable achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The Memorial hopes to carry out more exchanges and cooperation with Chinese museums to learn from China’s wisdom and development experience.
