On September 24, on behalf of Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf of the African Union Commission, Ambassador Moussa Omar, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of the Chairperson , attended the National Day reception co-hosted by the Mission of China to the African Union and the Embassy of China in Ethiopia, and visited the thematic photo exhibition prepared by the Chinese side. Amb. Omar commended China for promoting the Global South cooperation and putting forward the four global initiatives, which have strongly advanced peace, development and cooperation of the world. The AU welcomes China’s zero-tariff treatment for Africa, which greatly facilitates African products’ access to the Chinese market. The AU is ready to continue to deepen cooperation with China and jointly build a more prosperous, peaceful and equitable future.
