On April 24, Mr. ZHANG Wei, Minister and Deputy head of the Mission of China to the African Union visited Confucius Institute at FDRE Technical and Vocational Training Institute (FTVTI) and Luban Workshop, met with Mr. Biruk Kedir, the Director General of FDRE Technical and Vocational Training Institute and management and Chinese teachers of the FTVTI. 

Mr. Zhang said that, with Confucius Institute and Luban Workshop established on its campus, the FTVTI possesses unique advantages in "Chinese + Vocational Training". China is willing to continuously support the development of the Confucius Institute and Luban Workshop, to provide more support for the development of vocational and technical talents in Africa. 

Mr.Kedir expressed his appreciation for Mr. Zhang’s visit and praised the positive contributions that Confucius Institute and Luban Workshop have made in enhancing the talent development and modernization of Ethiopia and Africa. Mr. Kedir reaffirmed that the FTVTI is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Mission, fully use the platform of the AU, and to create high-quality projects for Africa.
