On September 12, Minister Zhang Wei, Deputy Head of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to the African Union visited the Africa Office at SINOPEC Group, and held discussion with the Chief Representative Mr. Wei Dong and the leadership of SINOPEC International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (SIPC) in Algeria.

Minister Zhang was briefed on SINOPEC’s operation in oil and gas investment, engineering construction and trade in whole Africa and Algeria. He spoke highly of SINOPEC’s positive role in promoting China-Africa energy cooperation. He encouraged SINOPEC to adhere to long-term business strategy in Africa, keep enhancing risk awareness and drive the integrated development of industrial chain, contributing to China’s national energy security and China-Africa cooperation.

Mr. Wei Dong said that SINOPEC will further deepen cooperation with African countries in the whole oil and gas industrial chain by making efforts in modes, technologies, manufacturing and services, etc., and actively serve China-Africa energy cooperation.
